FCSLA In the Community: Join Hands Day
Branches W017, Plasi, NE and W026, Weston, NE
Members of FCSLA Branches WO26, Weston, NE and WO17, Plasi, NE "joined
hands" on May 3 and 10, 2008, to begin a project to beautify the grounds
around the St. John Nepomucene church and grade school in Weston, NE.
A group
of 20 FCSLA adult and youth members and other volunteers replanted a flowerbed,
weeded and mulched the area around a Marian Grotto and began work to clean
up a rock garden and fountain area on the grounds. Father Tom Brouillette grilled
burgers for the entire group.
