FCSLA is Growing

FCSLA is on the move again with the opening a new branch in David City, NE. On June 3, 2010 our Fraternal & Youth Director, Sue Ann M. Seich traveled to David City to open new branch S-621. The opening of this new branch is due to the hard work of Michael Moravec, Sales Representative and his office staff at Moravec Financial Advisors, INC. The staff consists of; Lisa Borer who works in Investment Client Services, Don Moravec, Registered Assistant, and Carol Struebing, Administrative Assistant. This new branch keeps growing with the help of this conscientious staff and has surpassed the initial 10 minimum requirement needed to start a new branch. We sincerely thank Michael and his staff for their continued efforts to promote our FCSLA Association and the fraternal benefit system.

Elections were held at the dinner on June 3rd, 2010. The two officers elected who are helping to lead the new branch, S-621 into the future are: JoAnne Riha, President and George Cunningham, Secretary. Father Bernard Kimminau attended this branch opening dinner and will be assisting the branch as Spiritual Advisor.

The new branch has met several times since June and is in the process of planning a Fraternal Activity and a Matching Funds Project. FCSLA wishes this new branch much success as we continue to watch them grow.

Remember it takes 10 new senior members to open a senior branch and 15 new junior members to open a junior branch. There are still many areas where we do not have a local FCSLA branch. Our Fraternal & Youth Director will continue to work with General Agents and Sales Representatives encouraging them to assist in selling the required number of new members to start a new branch.

As FCSLA continues to grow, there will be more communities that can benefit from an FCSLA branch. If you are interested in starting an FCSLA branch in your area or have questions, please contact our Fraternal & Youth Director, Sue Ann M. Seich, at 800-464-4642, Ext. 1051 or e-mail sueann@fcsla.org.
