The Chicago Anna Hurban District hosted its annual scholarship awards luncheon for its nineteen Chicago District Scholarship winners on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the European Chalet in Chicago, Illinois.
Chicago President Mary Therese Tylus, reported to attendees that this year the FCSLA awarded scholarships to members from first grade through and including graduate school in the amount of $248,250 of which $19,500 went to nineteen Chicago District members (comprising of eight elementary, three high school, and seven college (ranging from freshman to senior year) and one graduate student).
The nineteen scholarship winners are: Alyssa A. Anglin (J106), Mary E. Braun (J106), Noah P. Clements (J106), Julie G. Javorka (J174), Joseph T. Misovich (J174), Abigail C. Rahe (J174), Jake T. Wargo (J175), Courtney N. Kinnane (J322), Brandon Robert Mariano (J339), Haylee C. Starzyk (J339), Amanda J. Ledvora (S046), Christian Miksanek (S181), Eric S. Mounce (S225), Mary C. Bajek (S287), Alexander Economou (S287), Sarah R. Saffran (S352), Shannon L. Dolehide (S485), Joseph John Sblendorio (S485), and Megan N. Sutphen (S485). The Chicago District is proud of all of these scholarship winners and wishes them continued success in their studies.
