Southwest Community Services, Inc. (Tinley Park, IL) Honors its Supporters

Southwest Community Services, Inc. (SCS) in Tinley Park, IL held a thank you reception for its financial supporters by hosting a special thank you reception at their facilities on Thursday, September 26, 2013. Mary Pat Ambrosino, Executive Director of SCS, gave the financial supporters in attendance a brief update on the events of the past year and thanked them once again for all their support.

SCS provides adult services and programs that assist persons with intellectual disabilities, mental illness, physical disabilities, hearing and vision impairments and learning disabilities in order to enable these individuals to achieve their highest degree of self-sufficiency through developmental training, social and recreational opportunities, psychological rehabilitation, community support, job development and community employment opportunities. The First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association had awarded at the 40th Convention in October 2011, the sum of $15,000 for SCS to continue its good works in the Southwest Community.

Representing the Home Office and the FCSLA at this function were: Mary Therese Tylus, Chicago District President, Jeanette Palanca, President S258, Rosemary Mlinarich, Secretary/Treasurer S258 and Dr. Joyce Nugent Hirschbeck, Vice-President S258.
