On Friday, July 19, 2019 McKeesport Branches S077 and J032 celebrated their scholarship winner with a dinner at the Olive Garden in Pleasant Hills PA.
Eli J. Lindley was this year’s winner. Eli is a third-grade elementary student at Madonna Catholic Regional School in Monongahela, PA. Eli was also a winner in an event in which students from five local Catholic schools participate in a competition which challenges their creative abilities and ingenuity. This activity involves research and presentation of the project. Eli won first prize in his grade group for his innovative bird feeder which blocks squirrels and deer from the birdseed!
Parents Julie and Brian Lindley celebrated with Eli and branch officers. Branch Treasurer Virginia Holmes presented Eli with an additional gift from the branch.
Eli’s sisters Ava and Mya and baby brother Leo are all members of Branch J032. Congratulations to our scholarship winner and his parents!
