Chicago District Officers Attend a Mass and Concert For Peace

Celebrating the 100th Year Anniversary of Armistice Day and the Independence of Poland

On Sunday, November 11, 2018, a special concert Mass for Peace was performed at St. Hyacinth’s Basilica in Chicago to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of Armistice Day and the Independence of Poland. The performance was presented by the Chicago Philharmonic, the Paderewski Symphony Orchestra Chorus and guest soloists, led by the conductor Marek Moś.

FCSLA Chicago District Board Officers were in attendance to pray for world peace and to salute those who battled for freedom. In 2001, The Missa Pro Pace was originally composed by Wojciech Kilar to celebrate the Warsaw Philharmonic’s Centennial, and later performed for Pope John Paul II at the Vatican.
