Fraternal Director
FCSLA
Welcomes Our New Branch
A New Branch was created in December. Branch 620 is located in Demotte, IN.
An informational meeting along with election of officers was held on November
4, 2009. See the photo gallery.
We welcome the members of this new branch and thank the newly elected
officers for accepting the responsibility of leading the branch.
As FCSLA continues to grow, current members are welcome to join a branch in
the area where they live. The advantage in doing so allows members to actively
participate in the many activities and benefits our association has to offer.
If you have a question or need assistance in locating a branch near you contact
Sue Ann at the Home Office, 1-800-464-4642, Ext 1051 or use our branch
locator.
FCSLA Home Office Has the Giving Spirit
During the months of October-December, the Home Office Staff donated
their break time and part of their lunch time to make scarves. The items entered
in the Creative Contest along with the scarves were donated to two Nursing
Homes (where the mothers of two of our home office staff reside) and Akron
Children's Hospital. The yarn was donated by several of the branches
from the Home Office area. See photos of the
scarves.
The Home Office Staff kept the tradition alive that it started last year by
adopting a family of four that were homeless through the Salvation Army. The
staff, along with several branches, donated and raised funds over $950.00 to
purchase items for this year's family. They needed many small appliances,
clothing and shoes. A turkey along with a gift card helped to provide them
a delicious Christmas dinner. A huge thank you to Jessica Ita and Danielle
Duke, home office employees, for coordinating this project. They did all the
shopping for the gifts and then wrapped all the presents. The family was most
appreciative to receive our gifts. This tradition will continue as the Home
Office, "Makes a Difference" in reaching out to our community.

Matching Funds Program
The FCSLA Matching Funds program is a way for branches to get involved in
the community to raise money for charitable and benevolent causes. The projects
should be a branch sponsored activity and should invite all area members to
participate in the activity. Below are the guidelines and forms you’ll
need for the program.
