FCSLA Chicago District Celebrates Annual St. Nicholas Party
Each year, the FCSLA Chicago District welcomes the Christmas season with its cherished St. Nicholas Party – a festive tradition celebrating community, generosity, and fellowship. Rooted in Slavic culture, the event honors St. Nicholas and continues to grow, drawing members and families of all ages.
The 2025 celebration was held on November 6, at St. Faustina Kowalska Ward Hall in Chicago, with support from the district board, branches, and dedicated volunteers. Guests enjoyed a hot buffet meal, holiday crafts for children, and favorite activities like the “Hooligan” dice game, bingo, and raffles – ensuring fun for everyone.
A highlight of the afternoon was the arrival of St. Nicholas, who shared stories of kindness and generosity, reminding all of the values that unite the fraternal community.
The event also gave back through a district matching fund benefitting the Pediatric Oncology Treasure Chest, supporting children and teens undergoing cancer treatment.
The St. Nicholas party remains a meaningful celebration of tradition, service and togetherness. Thank you to all who attended and helped make the 2025 party such a success.
