On November 6th, 2023, Chicago District members joined together to enjoy the afternoon and welcome St. Nicholas at their annual St. Nicholas Family Party. This annual event, which was postponed for two years due to the pandemic, was held at the Worth Park District gymnasium, in Worth, Illinois. Read more
On Saturday, September 24, 2022, Chicago District branch officers and members attended a sales presentation given by FCSLA Life’s National Sales Manager, Paul Smithers, CLU ChFC, and Midwest Regional Sales Manager, Jim Morsovillo, CSA FICF, on product updates and sales approaches. Read more
On Saturday August 6th, 2022, the FCSLA Chicago District hosted its first summer picnic in the park! Branch officers, members, and their families and friends gathered to enjoy a warm day filled with food, fun, and fraternal fellowship at Katherine Legge Memorial Park in Hinsdale, IL. Read more
Following a two-year break due to the pandemic, the FCSLA Chicago District held its annual scholarship luncheon at Camelot Banquets in Hickory Hills, IL, on June 18th, 2022. Scholarship winners and their families were invited to share lunch with District branches to celebrate their academic success. Read more
Once again, the Chicago District invited members to celebrate the holidays together virtually by sharing their favorite holiday memory or photos through Facebook. Due to the pandemic, in person events were again canceled, and this new method of sharing allowed members to continue to celebrate together with their fraternal family. Read more
The Anna Hurban Chicago District invited its branches and members to “Help a Veteran” through a virtual matching funds event held in March and April. The virtual event was centered around helping veterans at the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Wheaton, IL and at the Veterans Administration’s Program for homeless veterans at the VA in Hines, IL. The Anna Hurban Chicago District welcomed in spring by offering a Spring Fling event and contest through the District’s Facebook connection to members. Read more
On March 21st, the Anna Hurban Chicago District held a Virtual Day of Recollection. This annual district event is typically held face to face during Lent, and includes inspirational talks, reflection, and prayer, ending with celebration of Mass. Due to the pandemic, this event was cancelled in 2020, and when faced with the idea of going another year without this special event, the Chicago District members found a creative approach to continuing the Lenten tradition virtually.
